Manicure & Pedicure

You do not need any previous experience to start this course as we will teach you everything you need to know. This is one of the key skills in the beauty industry and is essential for anyone wishing to work in a beauty salon or health spa.At the end of this comprehensive course the student will be able to carry out consultations and devise treatment plans; maintenance and care procedures for the nails. You will learn health and safety legislation; the structure of the nail and skin, understand and explain contra-indications. You will be able to carry out manicure and specialised hand and nail treatments. Also classic massage techniques to the arms and legs will be learnt.

The anatomy of hand, arm, foot and leg will also be studied. You will learn how to apply single and multi layer varnishing as well as French and American manicure & pedicure techniques. The practical training also includes paraffin wax, heated mittens, exfoliation and hot oil treatments.

The syllabus includes:

• Contraindications and re-actions to treatments
• Filing nails correctly to individual shape
• Cuticle care, use of specialised tools etc
• Massage of lower arm, hand
• Massage of lower leg and foot
• Application of base, enamel and top coats of polish, and correction
• Structure of the nail; diseases and disorders
• Structure of the skin; diseases and disorders
• Understand, explain and demonstrate specialised hand treatments
• Muscular system of the lower arms and legs
• Understand, explain and demonstrate massage to foot and lower leg
• Circulatory System of the lower arms and legs
• Lymphatic system of the lower arms and legs
• Professional presentation and hygiene

The course will include 5 case studies and a practical and theory exam at the end of the course which is verified by ITEC.

£30 discount if all course fees paid in full before the course commences (£795) or interest free instalments available

On top of the fees you will have to provide your own uniform of black trousers, black tunic and flat black shoes. All details can be given on request.

Pay the deposit of £100 to secure your place and the rest in instalments- total must be paid before exam date

For example:

Deposit- 1st instalment: £100

2nd instalment due 2 weeks before course commences £100 

3rd instalment due on first day £100

The remainder (£525) can be paid in 3 monthly instalments of £175 by standing order, cheque or cash on the 5th day of each month. Please note late payments will incur a £10 charge
