After completing this course you will be a professionally qualified make up artist. This course is designed for those who wish to learn all the essential practical and theoretical skills needed to work in the industry as an employable, professional make-up artist.
You will learn professional make-up application up to bridal and special occasion level including day and evening looks. Also products used within the selected treatments and their ingredients & effects. Skin disorders and diseases, methods of cleansing, toning and moisturising, face/eye/nose & lip shapes.
The effect of lighting and how to disguise/diminish imperfections. You will also learn how to create 'catwalk' looking smokey eyes and cat flicks.
Our make up students completing this course have gone on to work in top make up houses such a Benefit, Urban Decay, also working freelance for model agancies, music video companies, big fashion brand photo shoots such as Topshop and Primark, top catwalk models, TV, Film, magazines and much much more! The possibilities are endless.
The syllabus includes:
- Understand, explain and demonstrate clients skin type, condition and texture
- Cleanse, tone and moisturise
- Consulting and communicating with the client effectively
- Skin analysis
- Skin disorders and diseases
- Contraindications
- Understand, explain and recognise skin tones
- Corrective, day, evening, special occasion and bridal make-up application
- Understand, explain and recognise face, eye, lip and nose shapes
- Understand, explain and demonstrate correct use of cosmetics
- Cosmetic science; ingredients in colour cosmetics, creams, oils etc
5 make-up case studies will be required for this unit; one day, one evening, one special occasion, one bridal make-up and one other make-up of your choice.
You will have a 50 question multiple choice theory exam and a 30 minute practical exam- both are checked and verified with an ITEC examiner.

£30 discount if all course fees paid in full (£760) before the course commences or interest free instalments available
On top of the fees you will have to provide your own uniform of black trousers, black tunic and black flat shoes. All details can be given on request.

The remainder (£490) can be paid in 3 monthly instalments of £163.33 by standing order, cheque or cash on the 5th day of each month. Please note late payments will incur a £10 charge
