Facials and Eye Treatments
This is a comprehensive study in skin care. Practical skills include: skin analysis cleansing, toning, moisturising, steaming, extraction, a full facial massage routine, selecting, mixing and applying tailor made face masques. Eye lash/brow tinting and shaping will be learnt and also facial bleaching. The theory involves the anatomy and physiology of the head, neck and shoulders, including muscles, bones, blood and nerve supply. Also an in-depth study of the skin will be studied.
You will also receive an extra Dermalogica skincare training day by a professional Dermalogica Training expert where you will learn facial mapping and extraction amongst other things.
The syllabus includes the following:
- Understand and recognise contraindications to facial/eye treatment
- Understand, explain skin type/characteristics, conditions/texture
- Understand, explain and perform cleansing, toning, pre-heat treatments, deep cleansing,
- Skin analysis, diseases, disorders, contraindications.
- Enhance the appearance of eyebrows and lashes.
- Understand, explain and apply facial bleach
- Understand and explain eye brow shapes
- Understand and demonstrate removal of hairs, aftercare, equipment sterilised
- Understand, explain and demonstrate facial massage
- Understand, explain, select and mix ingredients for clay, natural, commercial and specialised masks
- Understand and explain the structure and functions of the skin
- Understand and explain the structure of the bones of the head and face
- Understand and explain the muscular, nervous, lymphatic and circulatory system
- Cosmetic science knowledge
5 case studies including one full facial treatment per client are required which are internally assessed by the tutor and verified by the ITEC examiner.

£30 discount if all course fees paid in full before the course commences (£860) or interest free instalments available
Interest Free Instalments
Pay the deposit of £100 and the rest in instalments-total must be paid before last exam date
For example:

Deposit- 1st instalment: £100
2nd instalment due 2 weeks before course commences £100
3rd instalment due on first day £100
The remainder (£590) can be paid in 3 monthly instalments of £196.66 by standing order, cheque or cash on the 5th day of each month. Please note late payments will incur a £10 charge
